October 1, 2012 – Apen, Co. – 13 year old Aspen resident, Jack Sarick donated 100% of his Bar Mitzah gift money to Grapes fro Humanity Global Foundation and to Grapes for Humanity Canada to benefit the Marshyangdi School in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The Marshyangdi School’s mission is based on the belief that all children are capable of learning and have the right to learn. The co-educational boarding school provides a nurturing and academically challenging environment for Nepalese children.

Jack and his mother recently departed for an eight-month trip around the world where they will spend two months volunteering at the Marshyangdi school.

NEW YORK, Oct. 25, 2011 — – On October 19, 2011 at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City, Grapes for Humanity Global Foundation (GFH Global) raised over $350,000 thanks to the incredible generosity of David Pearson, CEO of Opus One, and other supporters.
Guests at the dinner joined distinguished members of the international wine community in tasting five vintages of Opus One: 1985, 1996, 2001, 2005, and, for the first time, 2008.
Before the dinner, guests were treated to a Cristal 2004 reception in the hotel’s Garden Room donated by Frederic Rouzaud of Louis Roederer Champagne. To finish the evening, Jean-Guillaume Prats of Cos d’Estournel donated Imperial Estate Hetszolo 1996 6P Tokaji Aszu .

The funds raised at last week’s dinner will support the GFH Global Arts Therapy Programs in Haiti and Cambodia, St. Damien Pediatric Hospital in Haiti, The Hanger Ivan R. Sabel Foundation, and Lavalla School and Orphanage in Cambodia.
