Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped

Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped (VNAH) is a nonprofit, nonpolitical, tax-exempt charitable organization founded in 1991 to assist the war amputees and other disabled in Vietnam. Its overall purpose is to assist the disabled in Vietnam to overcome their disability and to lead a richer and fuller life.

VNAH programs provide:

  • Technical assistance to regional prosthetics clinics in the production and delivery of limbs and braces
  • Technical assistance to both government and privately owned wheelchair factories in the production of high quality, low cost wheelchairs.
  • Technical assistance in vocational training to two national vocational training centers and selected centers in the provinces.
  • Promote programs and policies at the national level to integrate the disabled into all aspects of their community’s social and economic affairs.
